The season of concerts and festivals on the Montenegrin coast has begun - an atmosphere in which the epidemic, masks and rules are often forgotten.
The Minister of Health, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, told Vijesti Television that these days, with the Directorate for Inspection Affairs, the control of epidemiological measures is being intensified throughout the country, with a focus on the coast, in order, as she says, to preserve a favorable health situation, which is important, not only for the season.
"In particular, this now applies to mass gatherings, to gatherings in closed spaces, in night clubs, to festivals... So there are clear, precise measures that those who are in these places must fulfill. Among other things, it is known exactly that they must or have a vaccination certificate or PCR or rapid antigen test. So everything that is required will certainly be controlled, and all those who do not respect the proposed measures of the Institute for Public Health will have to be sanctioned," said Borovinić Bojović.
For the minister, half a million euros that the state has paid so far for PCR testing of foreigners is a small price compared to the health and success of the tourist season. There is no estimate of how much these costs could rise, but only a few foreign tourists were treated at the expense of taxpayers.
"It is ungrateful to talk about estimates of how the situation will develop until the end of the summer, especially since we all know that this is a specific moment and a specific situation not only in Montenegro but in the whole world. What we certainly want is for these outflows to be as little as possible and of course the benefits are as great as possible. They were treated sporadically in public health institutions. Let's say that during the whole of last Sunday, tourists were in our hospitals. The good thing is that so far there have been no bad ones the outcome of the treatment and that everyone left the country in good general condition. When we agreed with the hoteliers and the private accommodation facilities, it was agreed by the protocols that everyone must and is obliged to leave ten percent of the space capacity for possible cases of covid it did not only refer to hotels, but it also referred to private accommodation facilities. So far, luckily, there have been no problems or noises in communication," said Borovinić Bojović.
Onna once again appealed to citizens to get vaccinated.
