Masks, hand disinfection and temperature measurement are mandatory before entering the school. And after we disinfect the work surfaces and ensure the distance, the class can begin.
And it will last 30 minutes. The conclusions of the working group that harmonized the teaching model also imply that there will be two big breaks during classes, when students will go outside, and the five-minute breaks between classes will be spent in the classrooms and they will be able to bring their own food and drinks. Online classes will be organized for those children who, due to health or other reasons, are prevented from physically being in class.
At the "Pavle Rovinski" elementary school in Podgorica, they say that they have the capacity to implement whatever measures they may be.
"We are ready. In our school, the schedule is already finished. As for disinfectants, we have some supplies from last year, we have already ordered a new delivery for this year," said school director Dijana Laković.
Most of the disagreements at the meeting of the working group were about the strict position of the Institute for Public Health that children must wear masks in the classroom, but in the end there was an agreement that they can, but they don't have to.
"What will happen if a teacher refuses to teach students who do not wear a mask? These are very deep problems and we have found a minimum consensus around this in the sense that until the legal regulation is built, the position of the Ministry of Education is that they will not return any child from school , nor forbid him from entering the classroom if he is not wearing a mask," said Nikolaj Knežević, Vice President of the Education Union.
Last school year, it was not difficult to implement the measure of wearing a mask, so the numbers of those who left school with the virus were relatively low.
"After that one-year experience, I am sure that we will agree that as far as the schools are concerned, the organization is at the top level and that the observance of the measures was at the top level," says Laković.
This year, however, there is greater opposition to wearing masks.
"You are witnesses that a broad discussion has taken place, especially on social networks. I absolutely support the discussion, we need to organize round tables, so that we can hear a wide range of views for and against," Knežević adds.
Online classes will be organized for children with disabilities, and teaching materials will be delivered to their home address. Also, classes will not be divided into two groups this year, but all students will be in the classroom at the same time.
