Despite harsh public criticism of the conceptual solution for the reconstruction of the Independence Square in Podgorica, the administration of the Capital City has chosen a company that will assess whether a private-public partnership is justified in the eventual construction of underground garages on the area of the square.
This is a logical and good idea for the ruling DPS, while the opposition Democrats ask why the Capital City would give the city square to a private person when they can take out a favorable loan and make it a profitable investment for both the citizens and the municipality.
All of this opened up anew the question of the capacity to arrange the entire city center, at a time when the residents of many neighborhoods lost patience that their streets would be completed, some of which have been reconstructed for almost two years.
