Pljevlja will soon get a modern, interactive museum that will show in an interesting way why that city occupies an important place in the history of Montenegro, but also in the world's cultural and archaeological heritage.
Although the Native Museum was reconstructed on the model of prestigious world museums, that project is the merit of only a few people, who were helped by the Municipality and local craftsmen, but not by the state.
In an interview with TV Vijesti, museum director Branko Banović says that a place has been created for the famous Pljevlja dia-treta, a glass found about 50 years ago in the Municipium S necropolis, one of five such in the world. However, the conditions have not been created for it to be exhibited, so it will continue to remain unknown to the general public.
