While the Government invites employees to use an online calculator to calculate how much their salary would be if the "Europe Now" program passes in parliament, educators are preparing a petition for the Government to draw attention to their status.
The representative of the Educational Union, Olivera Leković, told TV Vijesti that the petition will start next week, and the key demand is that the coefficient for calculating wages be increased from the current 7 to 6.
Both in the Education Community and in the Education Union, they point out that they have nothing against increasing salaries for everyone, but point to some illogicalities.
The trade unionists presented all this to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić, but since they did not get some answers, they are asking for a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare Milojko Spajić and the Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
MFSS said that they will have a meeting soon. They remind that the Trade Union supported the Europe now program, according to which the salaries of educators will increase by an average of over 17 percent, and their status will be further addressed next year
In the Educational Community, they fear that time is running out, and they are not satisfied with the activities of the Trade Union and Minister Bratic. That is why next week they are starting with a petition, which they will send to the Government.
