Not even almost five and a half months since the Parliament, at the request of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (STP), lifted the immunity of MP Petar Ivanović, who is suspected of abuse of office in the case of the allocation of money from the Abu Dhabi Fund, nothing has happened in this matter.
Those who filed criminal charges against former high-ranking officials of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), as well as those who write about them, are not surprised by this, but expect that the changed Prosecutor's Office will finally solve the Abu Dhabi case and others that point to corruption.
The interlocutors of "Vijesti" Television hope that the changed Prosecutor's Office will start solving major cases, first of all Abu Dhabi, for which several people were questioned last year.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office suspects that Ivanović, as the former Minister of Agriculture, during the period from 2015 to April 2016, among other things, illegally acquired a financial benefit of over 30 thousand euros, during the disputed allocation of funds from the Abu Dhabi Fund.
