The prices of food and drinks in cafes and restaurants in Budva will be 10 to 30 percent more expensive already after the holidays and during the season, announced the Budva Catering Association, where they say that food will become more expensive, due to the drastic increase in the prices of basic foodstuffs.
Tourist agents claim that there cannot be an increase in prices in organized tourism, because the arrangements were already contracted a year ago.
The Association of Private Accommodation Providers says that most will not raise apartment prices, but some will have to because of more expensive labor.
If you book accommodation now through Booking in one of the three- or four-star hotels in Budva, seven nights for two people at the beginning of August will cost you from 400 to almost 3.000 euros, depending on the hotel in question, where it is located and what is included in the offer.
Although it is to be expected that as time goes on, you will come across higher prices, travel agents say that there can be no increase in prices in organized tourism, because the arrangements were contracted a year ago.
Private accommodation should not be more expensive than before, according to their association, so an apartment for 4 people per day, depending on the location, will cost between 40 and 130 euros.
Still, some will raise prices precisely because they will need more money for labor, which they say is harder to find this year.
And, some apartment owners will correct the offer instead of increasing the price.
But, both before and after the trip, you must have something to drink and eat. Drinking coffee or any other beverage with a view of the sea will cost you more during this season than last.
The Catering Association says that drinks and food will become more expensive in most restaurants and cafes. Some restaurateurs have corrected their price lists due to the surge in food prices, and some will do so.
The Tourist Organization of Budva still believes that the summer season will be successful.
Those who live from tourism also hope for success.
And those who are resting, already now, before the season, pay one euro for a scoop of ice cream on the Budva promenade.
