Auto waste in Tuzi, where a fire broke out last week, caused pollution and reminded of the fact that there is no organized system for disposal of hazardous substances in Montenegro, biologist Vuk Iković said in Boja jutra on TV Vijesti.
Apart from the fact that the waste is not disposed of properly, it is worrying that the locations where flammable substances are stored are not secured, which was also shown during this fire, which the firefighters barely extinguished due to a non-functioning hydrant network.
In order to avoid such incidents in the future, it is necessary for the authorities to organize a system of companies that will apply the hazardous waste management plan, as well as measures to dispose of and prevent the risk of fire.
