In the midst of the jump in food and fuel prices on the international and domestic markets, import-dependent Montenegro is considering how to provide at least minimal reserves.
The Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, Goran Đurović, told TV Vijesti that next week he will select a consultant who will prepare a study on the justification of the formation of commodity reserves.
The minister also reveals that Montenegro has an offer to store certain food reserves abroad.
During that time, the Ministry of Capital Investments is examining the possibility of reconstructing the state capacities at the terminal in Bar, which would be used for the storage of mandatory oil reserves, because we are obliged to provide them by the beginning of next year at the latest within the negotiation process with the European Union.
