The University of Montenegro is not giving up on the construction of the disputed complex between the City Quarter and the student dormitories.
After the cancellation of the first competition for the development of conceptual architectural solutions for residential and commercial buildings and an underground garage within the DUP University Center, the University will, as we learn, announce a new competition.
Let us remind you that in April, the president of the Chamber of Architects, Novica Mitrović, called on the members of the chamber not to participate in that competition, because there is no place for so many buildings in that location.
Long-time professor Branka Bošnjak calls on the leaders of the University to give up on that idea and instead of dealing with construction, improve the study conditions.
The University previously rejected the accusations and said that they announced the project competition in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Public Procurement, and that it was announced after a detailed examination of the legal possibilities.
The Bosniak says that most of the professors from the state faculties have already been provided with housing, that the University managed to keep them with apartments, and that the University now needs to deal with the students, for whom it exists.
