The President of the Kotor Municipal Assembly, Maja Mršulja, said that the Kotor Assembly was unblocked in March of this year and that they are sitting regularly, and that since March they have had five sessions at which they made a large number of decisions.
"In this convocation, the assembly held a total of 12 regular sessions of the local parliament. At the end of next week, we will hold the thirteenth session, so there will be about fifteen proposed decisions on the agenda of that session, and I believe that it will also be significant, because every decision that is passed in the interest of the citizens and Kotor," said Mršulja for Boje jutra.
She pointed out that among the decisions that are most important right now, they would single out the one on the budget of the municipality of Kotor for 2022, which, as she says, was projected at slightly more than 19 million euros, and that it was adopted on March 24, when the assembly functioned.
"In the previous period, the decision to help the businessmen of Kotor during the period when the coronavirus reigned was also significant. We were closed and then the restaurateurs did not earn what is always to be expected at this time of the year. The Assembly made a decision about some 900.000 euros in aid in terms of not charging city businessmen," Mršulja said.
As he states, there are a large number of projects that have leaked from the assembly that are already in some form of implementation, but also those that are yet to be implemented.
Mršulja pointed out that they are planning a conceptual solution for the open pool project, because as she states, Primorac, as their centenarian, deserves an open pool in a new guise.
"Besides that, there is a project for the solution of the San Đovani cable car. After this project, where the cornerstone of the Dub Kuk cable car was laid, the project that has been talked about for a long time is on the way, and the time has really come for that realization," she said.
Mršulja announced that the reconstruction of the Kotor ramparts will be done from the state budget through the Public Works Administration, and that the state budget also provides for the reconstruction of the Gornjogrbalje road, which is "in a rather bad state", as well as the water supply in lower Grblje.
She also said that the construction of a multi-storey garage on Benovo is planned, as well as the construction of sports fields in the suburbs, and that they are in negotiations with the Government regarding the construction of small sports fields on Benovo.
"At this moment, I can say that around 62.500 tourists have visited the Kotor ramparts, and as of today, the income from the ramparts will exceed half a million euros," said Mršulja for Boje jutra.
