Textbooks for secondary schools for the upcoming school year are already on sale in bookstores of the Institute for Textbooks, and this year they will cost the same as last year, they told Television News from that institution.
Parents of high school graduates will have to allocate the least amount of money for books, while primary school students, like last year, will receive their textbooks for free and their distribution by school has also begun.
Compared to last year, the price of paper is significantly higher, but the authorities have managed to ensure that the price does not increase.
"So the prices vary - for the first grade 105,20 euros, for the second 88,70, for the third 88,20 and for the fourth you should allocate the least amount of money - 78,20 euros," said Dušan Petričević from the Textbook Institute
Books have been free for elementary school students since last year. The Ministry of Education says that it is a large amount of textbooks, but that the distribution has started, so parents and children can expect them on the first day of school.
"Regarding free textbooks for primary school students, their distribution to schools began on August 8 and will last until the end of the month, so that all children enrolled in the educational system of Montenegro will be waiting for textbooks on their desks on the first day of school," the Ministry of Education announced.
