Two months after the protest of the citizens of Podgorica due to the construction of a disputed building high on the slopes of the hill after which the city is named, there is still no solution...

The problem of building a multi-story building in Gorica, near the Partizan fighter monument, has not yet been resolved, and the announced exchange of plots with investors is pending. After failed negotiations with the capital, negotiations are now being held with representatives of the Government.

"We have to solve it as soon as possible, that plot has already been additionally destroyed, that means the foundations have been dug, work was done until 10 days ago," said Aleksandar Tomašević, a citizen of Podgorica.

Work began in June, a large hole was dug, and the investors say that they have invested money for utilities, project documentation, excavations and iron, and that negotiations for the exchange of plots with the state are still ongoing.

"From the Ministry and the Government, they asked for an additional month due to vacations. The deadline for the exchange should be September 21. If you ask me whether it will be realized, I don't know, it's not up to us, we accepted the plot that they offered for exchange", said Zoran Drobnjak, owner of the company "Eurozox".

The Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism briefly told Vijesti Television that they held several meetings with investors on the topic of exchanging plots, while representatives of the Capital City negotiated with investors for four months, but without success.

"Imagine when people say 'we are tired of fighting for something', imagine getting tired of fighting for the future of your children, the future of the city, nature, that is incredible," Tomašević added.
