This year, about 560 million euros will be allocated for the gross wages of employees in the public sector at the state level, 15 million more than the original plan, defined in the budget at the end of last year.
According to the Budget Rebalancing Proposal, which the MPs will discuss next week, allocations for work contracts are also growing significantly. So even though certain sums are higher due to changes in the Law on Salaries in the Public Sector, the Institute of Alternatives sees expenditure on salaries as a clear indication that there is nothing to be gained from the much-promised reduction of employees in the public administration.
According to the information of the Institute of Alternatives, the regulations on systematization are passed by the Government, despite the negative opinion of the finance department, and employment in state-owned enterprises is particularly controversial.
