There was information on the air that centers for social work stopped issuing decisions and receiving requests for payment of maintenance from the Alimony Fund, which is absolutely not true, Darko Stojanović, State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, said in Colors of the Morning.
He said that with every new law there are always doubts and shortcomings that they will try to correct.
"These are minor defects because the centers are not competent to determine whether non-payment has occurred, whether the person who is supposed to do it has done it. It should be done on the basis of a decision of the public bailiff or on the basis of a bank statement, and that is the reason why are colleagues looking for either an extract from a giro account or a decision of the executor," explained Stojanović.
He added that when there is no specified giro account and amount in court rulings, there is a special procedure that lasts an additional 15 days.
When it comes to the payment of child allowance, Stojanović states that over 95 percent of payments have been made.
"In communication with colleagues from the Post Office, through which the payment is made, by November 23, 104 checks were delivered and about 97 were paid, which is more than 95 percent of those paid. Nine thousand are according to the request for payment at the counters and seven thousand are people who were not found at the address, who were returned to the counters and subsequently paid," said Stojanović.
In order to improve the service, the post office has created guidelines for payment, so additional counters will be opened in some post offices, and work is being done to ensure that allowances and allowances are paid at all counters.
