Even though this September many students in Podgorica barely found a place in the school desks, judging by the Budget Proposal for the next year, the problem of overbooking will not be solved anytime soon.

The government plans to allocate 6,2 million euros, but for as many as 32 projects, of which one and a half million will be spent on the new primary and music school "Dušan Korać" in Bijelo Polje, whose students now go to other schools.

One million euros is earmarked for the extension of the Faculty of Architecture, and half a million each for the kindergarten in Radanovići near Tivat, the heating plant of the University and the reconstruction of the Technical Faculties.

In cooperation with the Development Bank of the Council of Europe, the Government has earmarked from 10 to 200 thousand euros for the preparation of construction projects for ten kindergartens, while ten thousand will be allocated for the preparation of projects for seven schools.

With this kind of budget planning, the state has once again shown that education is not its priority, according to the Education Community of Montenegro.
