Since the change of government two years ago, state-owned energy companies have often come under fire for being a mecca for party cronies.
Although they do not hide the fact that there were new hires, those companies claim that they are doing so solely because of the real need for new jobs.
Television Vijesti asked about which places exactly, so Rudnik Uglja from Pljevlja said that they have increased the number of employees in the archive, formed a fire service, and now they are also engaged in construction work.
In the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro (EPCG), they are also planning new employment because, as they say, in the coming period, 120 of their employees are going to retire, so they will be replaced by new workers.
The Minister of Capital Investments, Ervin Ibrahimović, announced at the Government session about 15 days ago that 2020 people have been employed in state-owned energy companies since the end of 1.400.
Although they do not hide that during that period there were many new hires in their factory, the Pljeval coal mine claims that all of them were necessary for the better functioning of the company.
Among the 315 new employees, there are 29 of them who are undergoing professional retraining through the program of the State-funded Employment Agency.
All in all, there are currently 1.166 workers in the Coal Mine, and they claim that they do not plan to hire more in the coming period.
When it comes to EPCG, since March last year, when the new management took over this company, 80 new people have been employed, but they claim that less money goes to wages.
EPCG explains that, among other things, they employed new people in deficit positions, as well as due to the formation of some new directorates and teams and the opening of new branches in some municipalities.
EPCG says that there have been no layoffs since March last year, but that, on the other hand, they plan to hire new people in the coming period.
Although Television News sent the questions on Monday, the Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CEDIS) said that they could not provide the data this week because their director, Vladimir Čađenović, is currently away.
