The President of the Municipality of Andijevica Željko Ćulafić from the Socialist People's Party (SNP) submitted a request for the removal of the vice president of that municipality, Vesko Raketić from the New Serbian Democracy, and the final decision will be made by the members of the local parliament.
In the explanation of this decision, which Televizija Vijesti had access to, Ćulafić states that Raketić behaved illegally and did not respect his decisions.
Ćulafić, among other things, claims that Raketić falsely presented himself as the mayor of the municipality, used an official car for personal purposes, and made statements to the media to the detriment of SNP officials, and accuses him of promising jobs, the allocation of material aid, the modernization of infrastructure and unrealistic projects...
In his statement to TV Vijesti, Raketić denied all this and emphasized that everything he did was in accordance with the law and in the interest of the citizens of Andrijevica.
He repeated that according to the coalition agreement from 2020, when the new government was formed, Čulafić should have handed over the post of municipal president to him a few months ago, which Ćulafić refuses, claiming that this is not what is stated in the coalition agreement.
Due to the conflict within the Andrijevic government, compulsory administration and extraordinary elections are also possible.
