A storm followed by heavy rain during the night caused flooding in Berane, Plav, Gusinje and Andrijevica.
A reporter from Television Vijesti reported that the most difficult situation is in Gusinje, where about 50 houses have been flooded, and more than 100 houses and other buildings are threatened.
Due to overflowing rivers and streams, the center of that town is also under water.
Teams of local services have been on the ground since the early hours of the morning, and they are also expecting help from the state.
Lim was poured in Berane. The Roma-Egyptian settlement of Riverside was flooded, as was the settlement of Donji Talum on the other side of Lima.
In the Association for the Support of Roma and Egyptians in Beran, they claim that most of the residents of Riverside have left their homes and that they have nowhere to sleep tonight.
The executive director of the Sultan Beća Association calls on the Government to urgently get involved in solving the problem.
Residents of Donji Talum, dissatisfied with the reaction of local services, organized a protest drive through the city, and for about 15 minutes they blocked the street in front of the Municipality building.
More than ten households are threatened in Plav. These are houses and estates along the Grnčar and Lim rivers.
The Vice President of the Municipality of Gusinje, Edon Balidemaj, said that the situation in the Municipality of Gusinje is alarming.
"If we know that in the previous days we had heavy rainfall, and last night a stormy wind, that's how the level of the rivers in our territory rose, but this time the streams also seriously threatened the residents, especially in the villages of Koljenovići, Kruševo and Martine. About 50 the house is already flooded and threatened by these streams, but a hundred other buildings are also threatened, where the water almost reached the houses," Balidemaj said.
Admir Adrović, a resident of the Donji Talum settlement in Berane, said that the water is getting higher and higher every hour.
"No one from the competent authorities, institutions, the Municipality of Berane came. A group of citizens was in front of the Municipality of Berane today, we asked the mayor to come out, no one came out to look at these people. We have been warning about this for years, and no one will turn their head. If this is how it will be, no sleep tonight, on duty and that we all move out of here too. By all accounts, the Municipality of Berane wants us to move out of here," said Adrović.
The President of the Municipality of Berane, Vuko Todorović, said that he will do everything within the competence of the local administration to help the residents of the settlements threatened by floods.
He told the RTCG Portal that he had spoken with the locals and that their requests were mainly aimed at a more permanent and long-term solution for the construction of coastal forts.
"Tonight, we provided food and other necessary necessities for all of them. They were very reasonable in the conversation with us, because they know that this problem is not from yesterday", said Todorović.
He added that the visit of the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Admir Adrović, was announced for next week, and that he would use the opportunity to talk with him about this problem as well.
