Traces of blood on the snow in front of the Žabljak pub "Kino Durmitor" are a reminder of the massive fight that took place here on Saturday evening.
The Police Administration claimed the following day that their Anti-Terrorist Unit, while off duty, was verbally and then physically attacked by a group of intoxicated young men, and that the five assailants emerged from the fight with minor injuries.
On the other hand, the parents of the two injured boys claim that the injuries are not so harmless and that the special police unit, which is currently undergoing training in Žabljak, acted inhumanely and unprofessionally.
The father of the participant in the incident, Krsto Bojović, said that "it's terrible, it's rude. It's not an anti-terrorist unit, they behaved like terrorists that evening."
Stojka Pavlović, the mother of the participant in the incident, said that she was not defending him, "of course he was guilty when he participated in the fight, but for 10 guys to attack him when he was on his way home, I don't think it's a human or professional act."
Bojović and Pavlović draw attention to the fact that the special forces did not present themselves with identification, as well as to the vicinity of the police station, where everything could have been resolved peacefully.

To our question whether the special forces in Žabljak exceeded their powers, there was no concrete answer from the Police Administration today. They just repeat that Internal Control is currently working on it.

The President of the Municipality of Žabljak, Radoš Žugić, said that the work of the Municipal Police should be intensified, which will control the working hours in cafes and night clubs so that such scenes do not happen again.
The parents appeal that the case be investigated to the end and the precise responsibility of both parties determined. However, they add that past experience reminds them that the institutions of the system rarely bear responsibility in such situations.
