Rents are far beyond the citizens' ability to pay

The drastic jump in prices during the last year and a half did not bypass the rents either, the amounts of which the landlords, instead of the paying power of the local population, compared to the pockets of mostly Ukrainian and Russian citizens.

The association of tenants "Moj dom" points out that the state has taken no action to protect the tenants, but also that the practice of not signing the lease agreement harms both the tenants and the state, which loses income due to non-payment of taxes.

The Revenue and Customs Administration reminds that the lease of apartments, as well as the penal policy for non-compliance with obligations to the state, are treated through the Personal Income Tax Act, but inspection supervision is limited by other regulations, which is why, they claim, control is almost impossible.
