Kovačević: Those who did not have results had to cover it with national flags

The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, said that they decorated the city.

"We are just building a new playground in the city park, we have built a neighborhood behind Zirojević's house in Vučedolska street, a neighborhood between Njegoševa street and Ulica narodnih heroja. These days we are finishing the neighborhood in Grudska Mahala, a wide street. Over 150 road directions or more than 50 kilometers have been paved We are changing the LED lighting on the territory of the entire municipality," Kovačević said in Boje jutra on TV Vijesti.

The main city square in Nikšić was decorated with state flags on the occasion of Montenegro's Independence Day - May 21, but, according to TV Vijesta, representatives of the Montenegrin Cultural Network (CKM), which organized a concert on the square, placed the flags instead of the Municipality.

Kovačević added that in two years almost 4.000 people were employed in Nikšić.

"That's the way we decorate our city. Those who didn't have those results, of course they had to cover it with state flags, which today, when it comes to the Municipality of Nikšić, stand in the places that are provided for by law, and no one will ever from those places. In the previous two years, when it came to these topics, we decided to talk only about the results and that this would be our way of decorating Nikšić," said Kovačević.

Commenting on yesterday's announcement by the Association of Lawyers, which states, among other things, that not displaying the flag on national holidays is disrespecting the legal order and the law, Kovačević said that the flag was displayed in front of municipal institutions.

"I don't see pointless statements, because the flag must be displayed all year long," said Kovačević.
