In order for the authorities to hear them, the residents of Đok Mirašević Street in Podgorica's Block VI gathered last night for a peaceful protest to express their displeasure over the planning of the construction of a hotel, which, according to them, they found out about by accident.
Tenants believe that it is not good to work against citizens for the sake of the interests of one company, and they emphasize that they have already taken certain steps.
While the Capital City explains that the question of jurisdiction is clearly defined by the current Law on Spatial Planning and Building Construction, in accordance with which the approval for the conceptual design of the planned hotel was issued by the Directorate of the Chief State Architect, Television News from the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism did not receive an answer to the question of whether the investor, Šajo Group, has all the required permits, and what is their position regarding the citizens' requests.
The investor explains that the detailed urban plan regulates the use of the surface, and that another public parking lot is planned near the hotel.
