Repaired damage on the boulevard in Budva

According to citizens, damage to the boulevard leading from Bečići to Budva has been causing a traffic collapse for a month.

The Municipality of Budva explains that there was damage to the water supply network in the Boreti settlement, and that the asphalt on the boulevard had to be removed due to the works.

One of the passers-by asked said that the damage had been present for about thirty days, and that it was risky to drive there.

When asked if the authorities reacted, he said that "they patched up this a little bit, but they can't let it into traffic, it takes 15 minutes of work to put some concrete or asphalt."

"I have been here since the first of July, and even before that, here are 2 meters of concrete for this, they are not in condition, one man could finish it in two hours. This is also the metropolis of tourism, this is a shame," one passer-by told "Vijesta" .

Another passer-by believes that it is easier with a motorbike, adding that every day there is chaos in that place.

"I pass by every day, even ten or fifteen times a day, in my opinion this is a shame, that this has not been resolved yet. I hope it will be resolved by the end of the season," said a passer-by for "Vijesti".

Traffic jams are increasing day by day, which leads, as they point out, to nervousness and often to accidents.

"I pass by every day, at least 50 times, there are huge crowds, it takes 4,5 km in 20 minutes, even more, nervousness," said a passer-by.

Some of them explained that the column knows how to go as far as Bečić.

"These are convoys, everyone goes, as long as the cars don't collide, I asked this militia, whose jurisdiction it is, and nobody cares," said a passer-by.

Even tourists do not hide their disappointment because of the bad boulevard. They believe that potholes and crowds greatly affect the image of Budva as a tourist destination.

"This is not good, it is very hot and there are crowds, this is not good neither for drivers, nor for us pedestrians. I have traveled a lot, and I have not really seen this happening in the middle of the season," said a tourist from Russia.

One female tourist believes that she should have prepared better for the season, and adds that so far there have been no potholes like this on the streets of Budva.

"We are here every year, as for the Budva boulevard, we have not noticed such holes, this is the first time," she added.

After we sent questions to the municipality when the works would be finished, the Secretariat for Investments immediately repaired and repaired the damage.

There were two reasons why they waited so long: the mechanization of most construction companies was dislocated, and in Budva, on June 1, there was a complete suspension of work.

They also state that the mentioned works are of a small scale, so for these two reasons, no construction company appeared as a bidder for the execution of the works in question earlier.
