Marija Obradović, president of the Trade Union Institute "Dr. Simo Milošević", she said that this institution is the closest to bankruptcy, and that the blocking of the account last week further complicated the situation.

She said in the Colors of the Morning on TV Vijesti that the Institute is going through the most difficult period since its establishment seven decades ago.

She pointed out that three or four salaries have been delayed for more than a year, and that they are currently owed May, June and July wages.

She pointed out that they are working at half capacity compared to last year, because there are not enough employees.

Obradović reminded that the debt, because of which the account was blocked, refers to a loan from the eighties of the last century, saying that "there was really time in 40 years to solve it".

She ordered that the employees demand the urgent signing of the collective agreement, as well as to define as soon as possible whether the Institute will be majority state-owned or not.

"The position of the employees is that it is in the interest of the state and citizens that the Institute be state-owned," said the president of the trade union of that institution.

The General Secretary of the Union of Free Trade Unions, Srđa Keković, said that they also believe that the Institute must be state-owned.

"Not every investment has to bring profit in money, here we are protecting the health of citizens," he pointed out.

Keković stated that USSCG, in cooperation with the Municipality of Herceg Novi, is starting a campaign "to save the Institute" throughout Montenegro, and a petition has also been launched.
