The President of the Healthcare Union, Vladimir Pavićević, said that he expects the trend of doctors leaving public healthcare to continue.
He, appearing as a guest in Colors of the Morning on Television Vijesti, cited the long-term poor planning of the development of the health system in Montenegro as the reason for this. Pavićević pointed out that, despite the salary increase, an environment has been created in which work in private clinics is more attractive than in the public system, which, he says, cannot be corrected in the short term.
Pavićević also said that the existing appointment system did not increase the availability of doctors to patients, but also that Podgorica needed a new clinical center.
