In Croatia, citizens can earn from the electricity they produce themselves

One of the main mantras of contemporary politicians, including those in Montenegro, is the so-called green economy. Citizens can also get involved in it, and one example is the installation of solar panels offered here by Solar-gradnja, a daughter company of Elektroprivreda.

In neighboring Croatia, which is a member of the European Union, citizens can participate in the construction of larger solar power plants and earn money from the sale of electricity and decide what will happen to it.

The price of electricity in Croatia for households is on average seven cents per kilowatt-hour without VAT, and in Montenegro around ten cents with VAT.
