On Monday, the parliamentary majority, at the suggestion of the Democrats, will propose amendments to the already proposed amendments to the Census Act, according to which the members of the census commissions will not have the status of public officials, the majority informed Television Vijesti.
The two amendments come after the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption previously said that the members of the census commissions are also public officials and that they must report their income and assets to it. The amendments define that the Decision on the formation of the census commission will not appoint its members, but will only determine its composition.
In the explanation, it is also stated that the members of the census commission, due to their scope of work and temporary engagement, should not have the status of public officials and that this could demotivate them to apply. In addition to the amendments to the Law on the Census, tomorrow the Assembly should also form a temporary Committee that will monitor the census, in which the government and the opposition will be on a parity basis, and will also have representatives of councils and councils of less numerous nations.
On the agenda of tomorrow's session is the rebalancing of the budget for this year, as well as the change of the decision on indebtedness. Within the point of elections, appointments and dismissals, one could also find the proposal of the President Jakov Milatović to elect the current director of the Investment and Development Fund, Irena Radović, as the governor of the Central Bank.
In the meantime, URA MPs requested that the agenda be expanded with their proposals to amend the law on PIO and the Alimony Fund.
