The children's song festival "Our joy", which was held this year at the end of November, offered 16 new songs for children. The news is that the Selection Committee of the "Naša radost" festival this year chose 14 songs submitted to the competition, as well as three more reserve compositions. The two compositions that competed for one of the festival's prizes this year were the work of children, and were chosen by the jury of the Institute for Education of Montenegro, based on the competition "And our joy".
The competition had the same proposals as the one announced by the Children's Association of Podgorica, the organizer of the "Our Joy" festival. This was made possible based on the signing of the Memorandum between the Children's Association and the Institute of Education, said Aleksandar Milošević, director of the Children's Association.
The reason for this procedure, he states, is to encourage children's creativity, but also to refresh this traditional song festival for children and offer something new.
"The goal is to awaken the author's note, talent and love for music in our elementary and high school students, and in the spirit of the festival to offer something new," said Milošević.
The artistic director of the festival, Zoja Đurović, pointed out that the competition was strong and that children up to the age of 13 presented their compositions at the festival.
"We're moving forward in a trendy way, we're very dosed with the use of some new fashion details when it comes to music. First of all, we cherish good and high-quality children's text. We pay great attention to the selection of jury members. This year we had a very good offer", said Đurović.
