The Bosnian Prosecutor's Office and the State Agency for Investigation and Protection - SIPA are investigating several universities and colleges in that country on suspicion that they were involved in the illegal issuance and sale of college diplomas.
BiH State Prosecutor Senad Osmić confirmed to the Bosnian media that the investigation included 15 people and that extensive documentation was seized, and that the Independent University, the Faculty of Business Studies, the College of Applied and Legal Sciences "Promethej", the University of Business Engineering and management and the Pan-European University "Apeiron", all from Banja Luka, then the International University from Travnik, the International University from Brčko, and the University of Modern Sciences and College "UNION" from Mostar.
Zarija Pavićević from the organization Alternativa Crna Gora claims that our public sector is flooded with diplomas that were also bought at faculties that are under investigation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Most of these diplomas are from the same addresses. A synonym for medicine is Tutin High School, Perfekt Prijepolje High School, Dositej Obradović, Hipokrat Belgrade. Education has other addresses for the trade of those disputed papers, Brčko, Travnik, Blace, the security sector goes to Union Nikola Tesla in Belgrade..." said Zarija Pavićević from Alternativa Crna Gora.
Vijesti Television published a copy of the diploma of a Montenegrin citizen, a public administration official, who obtained the title of civil engineer in 2014 at the University of Brčko, which is being investigated by the BiH authorities.
A considerable number of medical workers have testimonies from the high school in Tutin, which is closed, and in a fraudulent way, as he claims, employees in education also came.
"We are aware that there are such diplomas in the Ministry of Education, that people who deal with nostrification also have fake diplomas," Pavićević said.
When asked why all employees who are suspected of having bought diplomas at faculties that are under investigation or have already been closed are not immediately suspended, Minister of Education Anđela Jakšić Stojanović says that by changing the criteria, all diplomas will be re-checked, including those that have already been certified. .
"We will initiate this change. We will look for a legal framework that will allow us to examine everything, it can't be done now, it's not valid...", said the Minister of Education.
Jakšić Stojanović also said that in addition to the criminal charges that she continuously submits to the prosecutor's office, she will initiate the formation of a working group that, in cooperation with the MUP and the Ministry of Justice, should deal with purchased diplomas in the public sector as soon as possible.
