Epidemiologist Dragan Laušević says that according to the latest survey by the Institute for Public Health, 93 cases of whooping cough infection were registered.
He told TV Vijesti in the Colors of the Morning that the emergence of an epidemic form is certain in Podgorica and Danilovgrad, and probably in Montenegro as well.
As he notes, whooping cough is especially dangerous for babies and appeals to parents to vaccinate their children, adding that vaccines are completely safe.
