On Dvorsko trg in Cetinje, heightened tensions at the meeting of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church.
Namely, CPC Metropolitan Mihailo and former Bishop Boris, who was recently elected by the General Assembly of Montenegro as the new Metropolitan, and then expelled from the church by the CPC Holy Synod, appeared at the Christmas celebration.
There was a verbal conflict between the supporters of Mihailo and Boris, and the police prevented major incidents.

Bformer bishop Boris consecrated the Christmas tree brought by the members of the Martinović and Borilović brotherhoods, after which there was a conflict between him and Mihailo's supporters.
Then the supporters of Boris did not want to allow Mihail to speak from the stage on the Square.
Since reinforced police forces prevented the conflict, Mihailo addressed the crowd and said that he would not, as he said, celebrate Christmas Eve from the street.
"It's not the Christmas Eve of Montenegro, nor the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, nor the brothers Borilović and Martinović, this is the Christmas Eve from the street, it's the same as the occupation up there, it's arrangements to make it happen, I won't avenge this Christmas Eve because it's not the Christmas Eve of the CPC. He is being avenged by a man who has no authority in the CPC," Mihailo said.
Unlike previous years, the representatives of the Martinović and Borilović brotherhoods did not speak.
