Can Nikšić become the European capital of culture?

Herceg Novi and Budva failed to become European capitals of culture, but can Nikšić achieve this title?

For now, this idea has been unanimously supported in the local parliament, and the first encouragements have arrived from the state level, without which such a large project is doomed to failure.

For Nikšić to become the European Capital of Culture in 2030, at the last session last year, all members of the local parliament raised their hands.

The idea was recently supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Ministry of Education, which gave the impetus to get down to business.

The Municipality of Nikšić, which opened an office to develop this idea, says that Nikšić can rightly hope to reach the prestigious title, because its cultural institutions already have an enviable reputation.
