The decrease in the amount of snow in Montenegro in recent years is a consequence of climate change and that trend will continue, the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology said today. In translation, this means that not only is the current winter season a warning that one must invest in an artificial snowmaking system, but that it should have been done much earlier.
Specifically, in Kolašin, this idea has been talked about for years, within the scope of the change in the municipal water system project. That project was supposed to provide the necessary amount of water for drinking and sanitary needs, as well as snowmaking for the ski slopes of mountain centers.
However, the latest information obtained by Televizija Vijesti is that the contract with the designer and contractor on that project will be terminated. See why.
