The State Election Commission (SEC) is not the address that can solve the problem in Šavnik, where local elections have not been completed since October 2022, it was announced at today's session of this body.
The SEC provided the Ministry of Public Administration with data regarding voting in that municipality.
Although the Ministry mentioned in the request the possible taking of measures within its jurisdiction, which could refer to the dissolution of the assembly and the introduction of forced administration, the SEC indicates that the elections in Šavnik are not even over.
Some members of the commission do not see a way for the executive to carry out the election process to the end in a legal manner.
