Elektroprivreda Crne Gore will, before taxation, make a profit of 65 million euros last year, said the president of the Board of Directors of that company, Milutin Đukanović.
As he said in Boja jutra on TV Vijesti, the Pljevlja coal mine will make a profit of 18 million euros before taxation, the Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CEDIS) will make a profit of three million, while EPCG-Solar construction will be in the minus of two million, but he explained that this "net debt to Elektoprivreda".
EPCG-Željezara Nikšić will be in the red by three million.
Đukanović emphasized that he is announcing the data with a reservation, because they want to hire an external auditor as well.
"When we add it all up, the profit before taxation should be more than 80 million euros. We have 80 million euros in our accounts, Elektroprivreda is developing in the right direction and the balance sheets are good," he pointed out.
Đukanović says that in the first three months they exported electricity worth 30 million euros.
"We are waiting for a favorable moment to buy the shortages. The bottom line is that we increase production from renewable sources. Then we will have to allocate less funds to import electricity," he points out.
"Marina Jočić is a top professional"
Đukanović, when asked what recommended the members of the new board of EPCG-Solar Construction for that position, said that among them there are three PhDs, and that he has never met a "bigger workaholic" in his life than Marina Jočić, who heads the new board.
"People have the perception that when someone is involved in politics, they cannot do anything else. She achieved great results at the head of the National Parks Committee, she is a top professional, an unprecedented workaholic, a mathematics professor is on the Board of Directors... I don't know what she is up to problem," he said.
"Zeljezara deserves a chance"
Đukanović said that Željezara deserves a chance.
"We can always sell it, pay severance pay and have a significant amount of money left over. We will not do that, we launched a public call, certain investors responded, they did not meet some technical conditions. We have announced a new call, the deadline of which is 15 days. let's rent out the Ironworks and the Kovacnica," he said.
He said that he would not talk about the scenario of what would happen if the competition fails.
"Both the ministry and Elektroprivreda have a clear strategy until the end. We are asking for a little patience to try to achieve results, but we are also ready for a bad scenario. Even in that bad scenario, neither EPCG nor the state will be in the minus of one center," he emphasized.
