On April 1, the Ministry of Internal Affairs asked the Ministry of Finance to provide it with a confirmation of the provision of money for the position of Director of the Police Administration, in order to start the procedure of announcing a competition for that position, TV News from the department headed by Danilo Šaranović was told.
Although the competition for police director was announced a month ago, i.e. immediately after the election of Acting Director Aleksandar Radović, it has not yet happened.
In addition to the confirmation from the Ministry of Finance, which has not yet been submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is also necessary for the Government to issue a Conclusion approving the filling of this position, given that the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not have a Personnel Plan since 2020.
When the MUP receives all of this, it will submit a decision to the Human Resources Administration to start the procedure to fill that position.
At the moment, the MUP cannot estimate when exactly the competition will be announced. They explain that according to the procedure, within five days from the date of delivery of the MUP's decision on starting the procedure for the selection of police director, the public competition is published on the website of the personnel management authority and in the daily print media, and that the deadline for submitting applications is 20 days , from the day of publication of the competition.
