The National Parks are ready for the summer and the influx of tourists and say that they will not change the ticket prices.
"The price of tickets to the NP "Durmitor" and "Skadarsko jezero" is five euros, to "Biogradska gora" four euros, while the prices to the parks "Lovćen" and "Prokletije" are three euros. The price of the annual ticket is 13,5 euros and it implies an unlimited number of entries during the calendar year," Milica Bojović, from JP NPCG, said in "Morning Colors" on TV Vijesti.
Bojović reminds that last summer more than 700 tourists visited the national parks, and that expectations for this year are even higher, so an analysis of visitor management is underway in order not to create crowds.
The most popular parks during the summer months are Durmitor and Biogradska gora.
"In previous years, the largest number of tourists came from France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Israel and Great Britain. We are noticing an increase in the number of visitors from China and Saudi Arabia. Of course, there are also traditionally guests from the region," she said.
The NPCG says that they are focused on the promotion of active vacations, and that the creation of a new path for barefoot walking in the "Lovćen" National Park, the creation of bicycle paths and interpretive programs is underway. They are also renovating the paths around the Black Lake, as well as the educational children's paths on the Ivan riverbeds.
"After the winter months, national parks have the most work to do, repairing furniture, cleaning and maintaining certain locations, pedestrian and bicycle paths, as well as further servicing and investing in equipment used to provide active vacation services," said Bojović.
