Not even two weeks after the local elections in Andrijevica, it is not certain who could take the position of the President of the Municipality, although the negotiations have started.

As Televizija Vijesti unofficially learns, at the meeting held last night, it was agreed that possible constituents of the new government will form working groups for negotiations, which will continue in the coming days. The division of functions, which could be the biggest problem in the eventual agreement, was allegedly not discussed.

Potential government constituents are divided into two post-election political camps.

The first is the SNP-Democrat coalition with eight mandates, and the second is the Europe Now Movement (PES), the coalition for the future of Andrijevica and two civic lists with 11 mandates.

And while the SNP still stands by the position that the head office of the municipality belongs to them, i.e. that Andrijevica is managed by their Željko Ćulafić, as it will be after the 2020 elections, this does not yet have the official support of the other camp. None of them wanted to appear on camera today, and all of them unofficially told TV Vijesti that the negotiations were going well.

Andrijevic DPS points out that this is not the case. They see a new political crisis in that party, which has been in opposition for four years.

"Citizens who supported these civic lists that won four mandates must have voted solely because they said in the campaign that they would not negotiate with the SNP and the Democrats in politics. Everything is possible, if they come to an agreement, good luck. , but I think it will be quite difficult because those two unofficial meetings were not mentioned in the functions, then it will be a hell of a job. Mostly everyone is interested in the President of the Municipality," said Dejan Ivanović from Municipal Board (OO) DPS Andrijevica.

That is why DPS, says Ivanovic, is ready to give minority support to civic lists. And while political fights continue, citizens are waiting for better days.

And until the final agreement on who will sit in which chair, the development of the potential of one of the poorest municipalities in Montenegro remains on hold.
