Everything is ready for the 32nd edition of the Kotor Children's Theater Festival, but it depends on the weather at which location the opening ceremony will be held, Tatjana Kriještorac, secretary for culture, sports and social activities of the Municipality of Kotor, told Boje jutra TV Vijesti.
"Traditionally, the festival opens at 21.30:12.00 p.m. on the Summer Stage, however, we have a forecast of bad weather for tomorrow, even a storm. We are in constant communication with the weather services. Today by XNUMX:XNUMX, we will make a decision whether the opening on the Summer Stage will actually happen or we will unfortunately have to move to the Great Hall of the Nikola Đurković Cultural Center." Kriještorac said.
The motto of this year's festival is "Step by step city". The opening is attended by children from all primary schools in Kotor, more than 300 of them.
"This year, twelve theater troupes from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, France... Basically, as every year, we have a varied program for children of various ages. I hope that both children and parents will enjoy it. what this festival is also known for is a rich supporting program. Part of the supporting program will be held at Pjaca od cinema, and educational workshops will be held in the hub, in the former prison building. So, we have a rich supporting program in which they will also take part almost all children from Kotor, as well as guests from Tivat, from Podgorica. We have interesting workshops for both children and parents."
The festival will also have a humanitarian character this year.
"This year, the money will be directed to the Day Center for children with developmental disabilities, which currently operates at the Resource Center of Dr. Peruta Ivanović, for the purchase of assistive technologies that are necessary for children for their better and quality development. These are all devices for which children parents are also forced to travel to Podgorica or Belgrade," Kriještorac pointed out.
