It is still not known who attacked the forest ranger in Berane a few days ago, said the acting director of the Forest and Hunting Management Administration, Miloš Rajković.
He, in a guest appearance on "Morning Colors" on TV Vijesti, said that this attack comes as a response to the intensive suppression of illegal logging, which the Administration is carrying out.
While reminding that the beating of the guards in Berane was not the first attack on Administration officials, Rajković questioned the state's reaction, which, as he pointed out, was not adequate either in this or in previous cases.
"The reaction must be much more serious, sharper, that's what we expect. We can't be exposed like clay pigeons, when we go out on the field so that anyone can attack us, threaten us... I promise that in the coming period we will intensify even more our struggle and controls, but the state and institutions must fully stand behind us," he said.
