During the intensified control in the first week of July, the inspection issued misdemeanor orders in the total amount of almost 515 thousand euros.
A total of 19 establishments were closed, of which two were due to undeclared trade, and the other 17 were due to work on Sundays.
In Boja jutra TV Vijesti, the inspectors told TV Vijesti that 70 inspectors in six coastal municipalities and northern tourist centers recorded the most irregularities in respect of the rights of minors, who are increasingly employed seasonally, due to a lack of manpower.
"So far, we have found 36 minors at work, the number is probably even higher. The most violations of the law are working without parental consent, not having a health certificate, we also find minors working at night, i.e. after 22 p.m., working without weekly rest for two consecutive days. Fines range from 1100 euros to 2 euros. For the first seven days, 200 misdemeanor orders were issued in the total amount of 25 euros," said the Administration for Inspection Affairs.
