Repeated works on the reconstruction of the museum in Bijelo Polje should start soon, after the UNDP tender, for which one contractor applied, has been completed.
In the meantime, by order of the Higher - the Bjelopolska Basic Prosecutor's Office decides again on the criminal complaint of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs for inadequate reconstruction, which is why the museum has been closed for more than four years instead of half.
The management of the museum expects the opening, because they care for thousands of historical objects that have been kept in a 30 square meter container all this time.

That was not enough for the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje to hold the supervisor and designer accountable, according to the criminal report of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs.
They submitted the application in December of last year based on the report of the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Properties, which refused to accept the works on the reconstruction of the museum, stating that they were carried out unprofessionally and of poor quality and that they were not in accordance with the project. Two months ago, the inspection was informed that the report against university professors Ilija Lalošević and Goran Radović, who were in charge of supervision, and designer Marija Novaković - was rejected.

While the procedure before the authorities is ongoing, the deadline for the new tender that UNDP announced in May has passed.
The administration of the Bjelopolje museum says that only one performer applied and that they received assurances from the Ministry of Culture....
Until moving in, 5000 historical items from the museum, including 1.372 of state importance, are kept in a 30-square-meter prefab container, while 12 employees will continue to work in the second part.
And while the Ministry of Culture notes that by law the museum is obliged to preserve the objects, the museum administration says that they would not be worried about their condition if everything was according to the law.
