In the previous period, the settlement of Straševina in Nikšić magically became home to hundreds of tons of waste.
"According to our knowledge, over 150 trucks of grit from Bijela were unloaded in this area and buried," says local resident Milan Nikčević.
Outraged locals claim that an unknown person dumped large amounts of material on the area next to the Nikšić-Podgorica railway, partly on state and partly on private land.
And that their property was devastated, they found out from the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro, which is the owner of part of the state land where the waste was dumped.
They say that they will inform the Chief Inspector of Railway Traffic about this, who will carry out further procedures.
Until now, it is known that the Nikšić Communal Police went to the field following a report from the residents of Straševina.
Chief Veselin Čurović told Television Vijesti that their officers made a report, took photos of the field and forwarded it to the Directorate for Inspection Affairs.
In the meantime, experts from the Center for Ecotoxicology came to the scene and took samples to determine which material it was and whether it was dangerous.
The Environmental Inspection also carried out the inspection, and the police came to the scene.
In the middle of last year, the public was informed that all quantities of hazardous waste from the Bijela Shipyard had been exported, as well as that the soil contaminated with grit would also end up outside the borders of Montenegro.
