Residents of the Nikšić settlement Straševina, dissatisfied that hundreds of tons of material, which they suspect is grit from the former Shipyard in Bijela, have been unloaded near their houses on private and state land, will hold a warning protest tonight at 19 p.m. in front of the Budoš tunnel, asking the authorities to they say what kind of waste it is and order its removal.
They will not block traffic on the Nikšić - Podgorica road tonight, but that will be their next move, if the authorities do not respond to their requests.
The Center for Ecotoxicological Testing told TV Vijesti that at the request of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Ecological Inspection, they took two samples of the unloaded material on Friday, August 2, and that it took 10 days for the findings. This means that the results of the analyzes will be known at the beginning of next week.
Officers from the Police Administration also went to the scene following a complaint from a resident of Straševina, but TV Vijesti did not answer what they did about this case.
The Railway Infrastructure previously said that they would order the removal of the material dumped on their land, which, they said, had been usurped.
