In the very heart of Risno, where the sea meets the mountains, there is one of the oldest and most picturesque markets in Boka Kotorska.
From early in the morning, the murmur of sellers, greetings of old friends, haggling and casual conversations are mixed in... Traders and producers are ready to welcome their loyal customers, as well as tourists from all over the world, who curiously visit the stalls, admiring the smells and tastes of local food.
Here you can also buy homemade wheat, buckwheat, rye or corn bread, the price of which is from 1,2 to 1,7 euros...The prices are varied, but always in line with the quality, say the merchants.
Whether they are buying a kilo of tomatoes or figs, people say that here, at the Risan market, they are buying something priceless - a piece of the soul of Boka Kotorska. And this is what keeps them coming back again and again, because not everything can be measured in money.
