Selma Omerović from the Bosniak Party was elected president of the Bijelo Polje Municipal Assembly by the votes of 19 councilors from DPS, SD, SDP and her party.
Omerović succeeded Ernad Suljević as the head of the Bijelo Polje parliament, who was elected as the Minister of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations.
During the two-hour session, the most talked about was the entry of the Bosniak Party into the Government of Milojko Spajić, that is, the eventual termination of the coalition with the DPS in Bijelo Polje by the New Year.
The new President of the Assembly is 29 years old and is a mathematics teacher at the High School of Electro-Economics in Bijelo Polje.
