The dismissal of the director of the National Parks, Vladimir Martinović, was an urgent measure that had to be taken due to negative fluctuations in business and endangering the public interest, reiterates Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić.
Martinović, who is a member of the Civil Movement URA, announced today that he will file a lawsuit against the Government's decision, stating that in the decision on the dismissal, the business data from 2022, when the company recorded a loss, were presented as business results in 2023. .
Minister Ćulafić from Demokrat, said for Boje jutra on TV Vijesti that the data was replaced by an official, and that this does not represent any significant difference, since there are many reasons for which he proposed the dismissal of Martinović, among other things, the fact that allocations for salaries have been increased for the year for 980.000 euros, and there were several dozen new jobs.
He points out that he will also examine the operations of other companies, including individual national parks, and the state in which Martinović left the company will be the subject of a special analysis.
"The official who prepared that decision, let me say, the information that he should have written for 2022 as factual information, which is that in 2022 the total net result of the company was almost something around 1.060.000-1.070.000 euros, and that in 2023, when Martinović was the director of the company, a net result of only 20.000 euros was achieved, which means that the company had a profit of almost one million euros in one year very indicative, according to some, admittedly unofficial, information that I ordered to be checked, because I received it yesterday, has also happened in the last fifteen or twenty days, let's say in Prokletije National Park, which will also be investigated separately... So that , no reason for any excessive drama," said Ćulafić.
Minister Ćulafić claims that, at this moment, no negative ecological consequences have been detected due to the burial of cows that died due to Q fever.
