"The biggest problem was caused by the fact that we don't have a place where we could remove waste of animal origin harmlessly, and this is something that the state and the ministry must deal with. A conceptual solution for a plant in Nikšić, where all by-products of animal origin would be removed harmlessly and safely, is already being worked on." , he pointed out.
Joković claims that among the people who protested the burying of infected cows in disputed locations, not all of them are environmental activists, but that "there are also some other stories".
The damage is estimated at around 400.000 euros.
"We will see how we will compensate agricultural producers," said the minister.
Apart from Nikšić and Danilovgrad, he says, the fever did not appear in other municipalities.
He also points out that the disease was not found on any farm where cheese is produced. "For now, there is no fear that there are infected products on the market," he added.
