This is a mockery in the center of Tivat, a dilapidated building right next to the Health Center. The municipality is ready to finance the reconstruction of the old building, which is owned by the Ministry of Health, and the state seems to be ignoring it for years...
The Health Center explains that since last year they have been communicating with several ministries. Papers are circulating, documentation is being collected, and they know what to do in that place...
"If we had a new building, in which we would place our physical therapy unit and expand the capacity of the already filled central building of the Health Center, so that in that new building we would also house the specialist surgeries that we expect upon the return of our residents," said the secretary of the Health Center Tivat Jovanka Vučetić.
The Ministry of Health did not answer TV News' questions about their plans and why they did not give or cede the ruins to the Municipality of Tivat. They only briefly said that the Administration for State Property organized an on-site visit and concluded that the building was in poor structural condition.
Money is not the problem, administrative matters are. And another appeal to all state authorities to speed things up...
In addition to space, the Tivat Health Center also lacks staff. At least two elected doctors and two pediatricians...
